Bodies

Angouleme,  2017

These mannequins' bodies are worked on by the skin. Sewed and disjointed, their interior troubles made visible.

They are 'fragilities', exposed bodies showing their inner flickering, confronted to the world and its come and go in the flesh.

They are lamps. In negative, their lightning beauty is coming inside out.

The wires exceed, the bodies are imperfect. Each is originally sewed with the same tissue but at the end they are all different. There is no machine, they are being sewed by hand, and this is what makes them endearing.
